Unit 4 · Project 1
12 Creativity Sprint Designs
Each school day for 12 days, you'll receive a new creative prompt and have the class period to complete a design response to it. Prompts range from typographic posters to illustrated scenes to abstract compositions. The goal is creative volume and range — not perfection. Some days will feel great, some won't, and that's exactly the point. Professional designers work under time pressure constantly; this sprint builds that muscle. All 12 designs must be saved and exported by the end of Day 12.
Objectives
- 1Complete all 12 daily design challenges
- 2Each design must be a genuine creative response to the prompt (not a template fill-in)
- 3Export each design at 1080x1080px minimum
- 4Save all files organized by day number
Materials
- Adobe Express (primary tool)
- Canva (backup option)
- Computer with internet access
- Daily prompt sheet (distributed each morning)
Tips & Techniques
1Don't spend the first 10 minutes deciding — start making something and adjust
2If you finish early, push the design further rather than stopping
3Save as you go — don't lose work to a browser crash
4Look at your previous days' work for patterns in what you're drawn to
