Unit 4 · Project 2
Animated Work
Select one of your 12 sprint designs and animate it using Adobe Express or Photoshop timeline.
Animation transforms a static design into something that lives and breathes. You'll select your strongest sprint design and add animation to it — this could be a simple fade, a moving element, a looping GIF, or a more complex sequence. The animation should enhance the design's meaning, not just add movement for its own sake. Ask yourself: what would move in this world? What movement would make the viewer feel something? Export as an animated GIF or MP4.
Objectives
- 1Select your strongest sprint design as the base
- 2Add at least 2 animated elements (not just a fade-in of the whole image)
- 3The animation must loop seamlessly
- 4Export as an animated GIF or MP4 and submit with the static original
Materials
- Adobe Express animation tools or Photoshop timeline
- Your selected sprint design file
- Adobe Media Encoder for export (if needed)
Tips
- Subtle animation is often more powerful than dramatic movement
- Loop points matter — make sure the end connects smoothly to the beginning
- Animate one element at a time and preview frequently
- Think about timing: slow movements feel calm, fast movements feel energetic
