Unit 4 · Project 1
12 Creativity Sprint Designs
Complete 12 daily creative challenges using Adobe Express or Photoshop — one per school day.
Adobe releases a '12 Days of Creativity' challenge every December — and you're doing your own version. Each school day you'll receive a creative prompt and have the class period to complete it using Adobe tools. The prompts range from typography challenges to photo manipulations to pattern designs. The goal isn't perfection — it's creative output and tool fluency. By the end of 12 days you'll have 12 pieces and a dramatically expanded Adobe skill set. Speed and creative risk-taking are rewarded here.
Objectives
- 1Complete all 12 daily design challenges on time
- 2Use at least 3 different Adobe tools across the 12 days
- 3Take creative risks — safe, predictable work scores lower than ambitious attempts
- 4Collect all 12 pieces in a single document for submission
Materials
- Adobe Express (school license)
- Adobe Photoshop (school license)
- Daily prompt sheet (provided in class)
Tips
- Don't overthink — you have one period. Commit to an idea and execute it
- Look at the prompt from an unexpected angle — the obvious interpretation is rarely the most interesting
- If you finish early, push further — add a second layer, try a different color, animate it
- Save your work at the end of every class — don't lose a day's work
