Midterm & Final Exams
Review. Create. Show what you know. Demonstrate your knowledge through written and practical assessments.
Vocabulary
Midterm Exam
A formal assessment at the midpoint of the course covering all concepts, vocabulary, and skills from Units 1–5.
Final Exam
A comprehensive assessment at the end of the course covering all units, with both written and practical components.
Practical Assessment
An exam that requires you to demonstrate a skill by doing it — not just describing it. In art, practical assessments often involve making something under timed conditions.
Critique
A structured discussion and evaluation of artwork. A critique considers technical execution, creative choices, and conceptual intent.
Vocabulary Review
A systematic review of all key terms from the course — definitions, applications, and examples.
Portfolio Defense
A verbal presentation of your portfolio in which you explain your choices, discuss your growth, and respond to questions about your work.
Creative Problem-Solving
Applying learned skills and concepts to a new, unseen challenge. The final exam tests whether you can use what you've learned in a new context.
